Chadwell Heath Karate Academy is a Wado-Ryu Karate club that is based in Essex, East London and Herts. We have lessons every day in different locations for all ages (4 years old to adult). We offer a pay-as-you-train scheme at only £5 per class. There are no expensive monthly fees. All you have to do is turn up to a lesson that suits your schedule about 5 to 10 minutes before the lesson start time. Within every class we have a number of Sensei's (teachers) so we can spilt the class into small groups so they can teach certain abilities/ages to insure that you are learning karate which is specific to you and maximising the attention given to each individual.
At CHKA we are aiming to inspire people to take up karate to be healthy/fit, to increase self-confidence, discipline and most importantly to have FUN!
We teach both traditional and sport karate. Traditional karate allows you to progress through the graded belt system and teaches you the fundamentals of karate. Sport karate is where we excel, we take part in competitions, participating in Kata (Forms) and Kumite (Fighting). At the official English National Championships 2015 we finished 2nd on the national medal table and at the Official British Four National Championship 2015 we came 5th on the medal table. Sport karate is a great avenue to take if you enjoy competing, it is also on course to become an Olympic Sport in Tokyo 2020.
Affiliation: English Karate Federation, British Karate Federation, European Karate Federation and World Karate Federation. (This is the only World Karate Federation that is recognised by the International Olympic Committee).
